From: Jeff Strahl Date: July 15, 2005 Subject: Latest on London The media obediently follow the cues provided by the US and British governments, and read the handed-down script regarding the London bombings, even as crucial details are being changed daily, not even a pause in the face of mounting inconsistencies. And this includes the "progressive" media, be it the Nation or Pacifica, eager to prove they are of course not supportive of "terrorists". Read or listen all you want, you will find virtually no reference to the many questions being raised about the official accounts. This is quite similar to how the 9/11 events have been treated. Among these questions are: Why and how did former Israeli prime minister get a warning to stay away from a place where he was to speak, located above one of the blast sites? How does "suicide bombers" square with earlier police claims of timing devices? Why did the "suspects" leave a car full of explosives in a parking lot in Luton, 30 miles from London? (Did they expect someone to find the car and put the explosives to good use?) What about the anti-terrorism exercises scheduled for the same hour in which the bombings took place? How did former head of the Mossad Efraim Halevi, writing in the Jerusalem Post on July 7, the day of the attacks, know that the bombs went off simultaneously, when the London police did not say so for days, in fact provided a timeline of over an hour, and how could he claim they were *nearly* perfect? Why did the "suspects" take credit cards along on a suicide mission? (Visa is good even in paradise?) From: Jeff Strahl Date: July 18, 2005 Subject: London — Alternative Legend Being Constructed An alternative legend is being constructed so as to fix the official story about the London attacks, which is falling apart due to mounting contradictions. Or perhaps the new version will be kept on the sidelines for a bit while the main story is being spruced up by other means, so much the better as to seem like an "alternative". Pacifica's station KPFA on the news today brought up the matter of possible "negligence" by Britain's MI5 for not keeping track of some people who had terrorist connections, and of not doing a good job with a supposed Pakistani man who entered a few weeks ago and left the day before the attacks. This "fifth man" is also discussed at http://www.abcnews.go.com/WNT/Investigation/story?id=936882&page=1 and one of the main sources for this story, Sajjan Gohel of London's Asia Pacific Foundation, where he is Director of International Security, appeared on CNN's News Night this evening, talking about the Pakistani connection to international terrorism, and Pakistan's supposed failure to play its part in the "war on terrorism". This as the case against the supposed Egyptian chemist mastermind that was built up over the weekend has fallen apart. See http://kurtnimmo.com/blog?p=840 None of this addresses the growing holes in the official account of the bombing, such as eye witness reports suggesting devices detonated *under* trains, not inside them, "suicide bombers" who bought return tickets, took their IDs and credit cards with them (one carrying some papers of one of the others as well as his own), papers which somehow survived the bomb blasts that shredded their bodies, exercises "coinciding" with the attacks, changes in what the explosives used were, changes in the timings (even timers were found, for use by suicide bombers!), a car with explosives left in a parking lot, warnings given to former Israeli premier Netanyahu, former Mossad chief Halevi knowing within hours that the explosions were simultaneuous, something the London police didn't know for days ...  But these glaring contradictions apparently interest none of the media, not even the "progressive" or "left/alternative" ones, all seem eager to swallow the "Islamists did it" line as long as they can spin it to suit their own agenda. Nothing about who the Pakistani ISI (their CIA/FBI) is connected with either.
